Beloved author Beverly Cleary turned 100 on April 12th. To celebrate, NES participated in a school wide read aloud. Mrs. Cleary is the author of numerous books that have been loved by scores of children. Well known titles include Beezus and Ramona, Ribsy, and The Mouse and the Motorcycle. Mrs. Clearly has been the recipient of the John Newbery Medal, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal, the Golden Kite Award for Fiction, and many other awards. Happy Birthday Mrs. Cleary!
