*“To me, good health is more than just exercise and diet. It’s really a point of view and a mental attitude you have about yourself.” ~ ALBERT SCHWEITZER

Happiness is a gift you give to yourself to live mindfully, authentically in the moment, to connect to your feelings and know how to shift to optimal feeling states of mind and body at any moment. It includes, no doubt, caring and giving your body what nourishes it, exercise and nutrient rich foods, and avoiding what does not. Most important, however, you need to feel happy about yourself and life in order to feel your own love and acceptance, to want to care and keep yourself healthy, emotionally and physically. When we’re happy, we’re more productive, creative, efficient.

Start the New Year off right by gifting yourself with happiness!  Happy New Year from The Healthcare Club!

This mindful message brought to you by the Healthcare Club.

*(From Mrs. Endsley):  Good morning Neoga Junior/Senior High School.

I would just like to thank everyone who contributed to yet another successful Thanksgiving food drive.  Your contributions will help provide an awesome Thanksgiving dinner for 40 families in our community and because we collected so much more than what was needed, we are able to contribute to the Christmas dinners as well and help keep the food pantry well-stocked this winter!  There was a total of over 23 hundred non-perishable food items brought in—THAT truly is awesome!

The results of the competition among the freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are as follows:  The sophomores placed fourth with 96 items brought in.  The freshmen placed third with 125 items and will start homecoming week with 50 bonus points.  In second place earning 150 bonus points with 459 cans of green beans are the juniors.  And blowing all three of the other classes out of the water with 2.11 times the other three classes combined with 1,438 cans of corn earning 300 points, as well as an additional 50 points more for their over the top donation, are the seniors!

Thanks again guys!  I hope and pray you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your time with your family and friends!
