*Attention all junior and high school band members.  Due to the carpet being replaced in the band room, all instruments need to be taken home for the summer!  Before the end of school Tuesday, please clean out your cubby and take your instrument with you.

*Last call for any Jr. High or High School girl interested in basketball camp.  Please have your form turned in by Tuesday to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

*There will be a HS volleyball meeting on Tuesday, May 15, in the library.   Incoming freshmen will meet during their lunch, high schoolers will meet during their lunch.  Anyone considering playing in the season or attending volleyball camp over the summer is welcome!

*Attention high school student council members:  During Wednesday's intervention time at 9:50, please report to room 20 for a short meeting. 

*Friday during activity period, freshmen are allowed to go to NES for Mighty Mile for Torie.  You must first report to homeroom and sign out, when you return please go back to homeroom and sign in.  

*Senior Exam Exemption Forms will be available in the office Thursday, May 3rd.  All Seniors must fill one out and have teachers sign.  They are due to the office by noon Monday, May 7th.  This is an important step towards graduation.

*Calling all junior high and high school students.  Need plans for Saturday night?  Come out to NHS for a soup supper and carnival.  Enjoy a delicious dinner and then take your chances at the cake walk, hoop shoot, football toss, or duck pond.  Dinner is from 4-7:30 and the carnival is from 4:30-8.

*Attention all N-Club members.  We will be doing our park clean-up community service project this Sunday starting at 1 pm.  Please meet at the pavilion of Jennings Park.  Wear old clothes and remember that participation is required if you want to go on the trip.  

*Attention Sophomores - please remember to bring parent volunteer papers for our class fundraiser back ASAP!  We will need several adult volunteers to help things run smoothly.  Return papers to Mr. James or Ms. Romack.

*There are many high school and junior high students who owe spring participation fees.  Lists are posted in the office window.  

*Do you like singing?  Do you like dancing?  Do you just like to laugh?  Then make sure to join us for the NHS Variety Show!  The show is Friday, March 23rd in the North Gym at 7 pm.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students at the door.  We hope to see you there! 

*Attention Variety Show participants & crew!  There will be a short 5 minute meeting right after school on Friday to go over the order of acts and call times for the show and dress rehearsal next week.  If you can't be there, make sure you see Mr. Roush ASAP!

The Neoga Healthcare Club will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, February 13th, from 1-6 pm in the Neoga High School gym.  Come Circulate the Love and Donate!
By hosting this blood drive a student from Neoga High School will be eligible to apply and receive a college scholarship from the American Red Cross.  Our goal is to collect at least 50 units of blood.  Students who are 16 may donate blood with parent permission (forms available in the high school office) or if you are 17 or older you may give blood without parent permission.  
Please encourage your family and friends to CIRCULATE THE LOVE and DONATE!
In addition to the blood drive, the Healthcare Club is doing a supply drive for the Effingham Crisis Nursery Center.  Share more love when you come to donate blood by donating diapers & pull ups (sizes 3T through 5T), Kleenex, cleaning wipes (Clorox or Lysol wipes); snack foods such as fruit snacks, goldfish, animal crackers, easy mac, and juice boxes; and winter play clothes (sizes 3T through 6T).

*A reminder to all Neoga Junior/Senior High students and staff that the National Honor Society "Running of the Nerds" 5K race is approaching.  Registration forms are in the office.  There are lots of great door prizes you could win.  The top 3 male and female winners of each category will receive the coveted pocket protector.  Everyone gets a long sleeve dri-fit shirt!  Register soon!

*The Toledo Masonic Lodge is offering a scholarship to a Neoga High School student.  It is open to all majors.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  It is due April 23rd.

*Attention Juniors and Sophomores interested in Class E:  All paperwork should be turned into Mr. Haarman or Mr. Davis by February 9th.  

*Attention Juniors interested in ACT Test Prep:  Lake Land College is offering a six-week, one Monday evening a week ACT Prep Course.  Any interested students may pick up information and enrollment forms in the office or from Mrs. Bridges. 

*A business scholarship is now available for anyone entering into business, business education, or a computer field.  There are additional requirements on the application.  Applications are due March 1st. 

*The Red Cross Scholarship is now available for anyone majoring in the medical field.  Applications are due March 1st.

*The Toledo Masonic Lodge is offering a scholarship to a Neoga High School student.  It is open to all majors.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  It is due April 23rd.

To register: you must be or turn 18 by November 6th and present your Driver's License

*The Running of the Nerds 5K is coming up soon and the National Honor Society would like to encourage all students and staff to participate.  For a mere $20.00 you can enter and receive a long sleeve dri fit t-shirt with a one of a kind design and slogan.  Just by registering and participating you can qualify to enter a drawing for several different door prizes such as a U of I fleece blanket, runners recovery kit with gift cards to Starbucks, an awesome insulated cooler or a trophy shelf to display all your ribbons and medals.  There is also a trivia contest that is posted along the route.  The winner of the contest receives a runners bag with supplies that total over $100.  Sign up by February 2nd and guarantee yourself a t-shirt.  Registration forms are on the counter in the office.
