High school Psychology class students participated in a team work activity in the high school library. Students were assigned to 4 small groups at random and then asked to make a structure out of index cards and masking tape. They were given 5 minutes to discuss and begin building their structure. After the initial 5 minutes they
were then given 12 minutes to continue working but in complete silence. Any student caught talking would be removed from the group. After 12 minutes  of silent working, they were given 3 minutes to talk and complete the project. The structures was judged on height, stability, and creativity. After the structures were judged, students were led in a discussion about leadership styles, difficulty in communication, and roles that people play in different groups. The class is co-taught this year by Mr. James and Mr. Davis
