Art Club’s Philanthropic Project
This year, for the high school Art Club’s philanthropic project, we decided to hand-make ceramic bowls, sell them at our winter art show, and give the majority of the proceeds to the Neoga Food Pantry. This year we sold 15 bowls for an average of $10 a piece, and we are happy to gift the Food Pantry $125!
We recognize that many in the community and in the world do not have enough money to fill their own bowls with good food, so in honor of what has become known as the “Empty Bowls” movement (see http://www.emptybowls.net/), we wanted to help the Food Pantry fill the bowls of local families through our donation.
